What is MODE?
MODE is a photography festival unlike any other: A three-day party across downtown Minneapolis dedicated to art, experimentation, and community. We’re bringing photography out of the apps and into the streets, and you’re invited.

MODE is built around seven pillars of photography to help you (and our event organizers) wrangle the wild and wide-ranging diversity of our beloved craft.
The kind of change that rocks the world often starts with a single photo, and CHANGE is where that photography finds its home at MODE.
Want to have one of the coolest jobs of all time? Of course you do, and MODE: MONEY is where you’ll learn the ins and outs of the business of photography.
If one frame isn’t enough, you might be looking for MODE: MOTION. Home to all things video, this is where you’ll get your hands on the latest advances in moving pictures.
Food, music, fashion, sports—photography unites us with a one-of-a-kind, up-close-and-personal perspective on the best things in life.
Film ain’t retro anymore. Like vinyl or fine wine, it won’t go away and gets better with age. MODE: IRL is where the Old Ways become new again.
When touching grass is a lifestyle. Join birders, landscape lovers, and adventure photographers in the great outdoors for a taste of everything our planet has to offer.

Thank you to all of our partners, speakers, and attendees for making MODE Festival happen. We had three incredibly full days in Minneapolis with some of the most inspiring photographers and seeing that passion and creativity play out in real life showed us exactly why we needed an event like this.
